1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
1 pound sweet Italian sausage
1 red bell pepper, seeded and sliced
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 can (28 oz.) crushed tomatoes with puree
1/3 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 can (14.5 oz.) Libby’s No Salt Added French Style Green Beans, drained
1/2 cup Italian-style panko bread crumbs
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
1 pound sweet Italian sausage
1 red bell pepper, seeded and sliced
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 can (28 oz.) crushed tomatoes with puree
1/3 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 can (14.5 oz.) Libby’s No Salt Added French Style Green Beans, drained
1/2 cup Italian-style panko bread crumbs
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Coat a 2-quart casserole dish with non-stick spray. Set aside.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Add sausage and break up until crumbled. Cook until browned, about 8–10 minutes.
- Add the pepper and onion. Cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add tomatoes (undrained), cream, Parmesan, and green beans. Stir together until combined. Transfer to prepared pan.
- In a small bowl, stir together bread crumbs, garlic, and melted butter. Sprinkle evenly over top of the casserole.
- Bake 20–25 minutes until bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
