Did you know that Lima Beans are amongst the last of our vegetables to start planting season each year?
Libby’s Lima Beans are seasonally grown and harvested fresh at the peak of ripeness. “Seasonally grown” means that every year, typically in late May-June, we plant our Lima Beans and then let them grow until August when the harvest begins. In a normal year all of our Lima Beans are harvested and prepared, sealing in their naturally deliciously mild, subtly nutty-sweet flavor and tender bite by October – so they are ready for year round enjoyment as a side or in your favorite recipes!
