3 tablespoons butter
1 small onion, diced
3 tablespoons flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 can (15 oz.) Libby's Sweet Peas, drained
1. Melt butter in saucepan. Add onions; cook 3 minutes. Add flour, salt and pepper. Stir mixture until smooth and thick paste has formed.
2. Add milk and cheese; stir until cheese has melted and sauce has thickened. Stir in peas and serve.
