2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 can (29 oz.) Libby's Jumbo-Can Sweet Peas, drained
1 cup french fried onions
1. Preheat over 375°F.
2. Melt butter in large skillet over medium. Stir in flour to form paste and cook 1 minute.
3. Whisk in broth, cook until sauce comes to boil and begins to thicken. Remove from heat. Stir in sour cream, onion powder, salt and pepper. Gently fold in peas.
4. Transfer to casserole dish. Top with french fried onions. Bake 20-30 minutes until top is golden.
