Exceptionally delicious. Libby’s Sweet Peas are grown from our proprietary seed cultivated to deliver a deliciously sweet and succulently plump pea. Our Libby’s pea variety is seasonally planted. The pods develop, then are picked plump and fresh while still young. Our peas are prepared within hours just miles from where they were grown to seal in Farm Fresh Goodness for a creamy, sweet, smooth and faintly nutty taste that you know and love. We put just our finest sweet peas in every can – along with a bit of seasoning (sugar and salt)!

“Seasonally grown” means that every year, typically in April, we plant our peas and then let them grow and mature for just a few months until June when the harvest begins. Peas have a relatively short season compared to other vegetables, such as our sweet corn. In a typical year all our peas are fresh-harvested, shelled and prepared, sealing in their appealingly tender, succulent texture with a creamy, sweet, smooth and faintly nutty taste by July!
